Enter gifts in a batch
Key in a stack of cheques fast, attributed to the true donor on each gift.
When gifts come in on paper, enter them in a gift batch. Key the amount, date, and donor for each row; Relae resolves each donor through the same matching engine and posts the whole batch in one pass.
The donor on the cheque
Each gift is attributed to the name on the cheque, the legal donor. Relae does not roll a gift into a household head or a soft credit. That keeps the giving record correct and means a receipt always names the right person.
- Type a donor and pick the match, or create a new record inline.
- Rows the engine is unsure about are flagged before anything is written, never silently dropped.
- Save a batch as a draft and come back to it.
If the donor is new, add a constituent first from the records page, then add their gifts in a batch. The record is for the person; the batch is for the money.
