How matching works
When a gift comes in, Relae compares it to your existing donors and assigns a confidence. It never forces a weak guess.
- Confident matches resolve on their own.
- Anything genuinely ambiguous is surfaced in Review for one quick human decision.
- A gift with no reasonable match is flagged as likely new.
The Review queue
Review is where you handle only the gifts the engine could not place confidently. Confirm a match, reject it, or merge two records that are the same donor. The goal is for it to be short: the engine should be doing the vast majority on its own. Every choice you make is remembered, so the same donor never comes up twice.
